Wood-Land Southwest undertake one-off woodland operations to ongoing programmes to ensure woodland establishment, development and regeneration. Work to control weeds, re-spacing, brashing or pruning pre- harvesting (we do not do the harvesting directly but have established contacts we use).

Woodlands often require some intervention to speed up the development of the final crop trees. This is best achieved early on selecting these final trees and weeding out the less favourded trees or species of trees in stands. Work we undertake ranges from small copses to encourage growth by weeding and pruning to re-spacing and brashing contracts for the Forestry Commission.

Other operations may include access paths, rides and glades. Annual cutting of the grasses and wild flowers to prevent scrub development and maintain access.
